Keep growing all summer long with our 6-Week Summer Session! Whether you're looking to try a new style, build technique, or stay active, our summer schedule offers something for all ages and levels.
Classes include ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, pom, contemporary, acro "gymnastics", and more!
Performance Opportunities
Families will love watching their dancers shine on stage in our Summer Showcase! Participation is optional for dancers ages 4+. Costumes will be created by adding accessories to the required dress code. Costume fees will be automatically charged on June 20. To opt out, notify the academy in writing before June 20 to avoid charges.

Enrichment Club Camp at LoMastro is a fun, play-based fine arts program for ages 2–4. Held on Mon-Wed-Fri, it blends Active Play, Yoga, Dance, Music, Art, and Drama to support creativity, confidence, and social development.
It's the perfect way for little ones to learn, grow, and have fun this summer!

Get ready for a summer of movement, creativity, and fun at LoMastro’s Camps for 1st–5th graders!
Each week features a unique theme that sets the tone for exciting classes, activities, and performance elements.

General theme weeks include a mix of Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, and Tap, with crafts and games that bring each theme to life.

Full-day campers enjoy even more variety with added Acro and Musical Theatre.

Specialty theme camps—like CheerTime, Game Day, or Madagascar LIVE—focus more deeply on the theme itself and may feature a custom mix of styles and skills specific to that week. Shine On Stage dancers perform in the Summer Showcase at Gorton Center on July 25.
Whether they’re flipping with Descendants, dancing like a Swiftie, or learning cheers and chants, your child will build confidence, creativity, and friendships that last all summer long!

Pom & Dance Team Intensives
Entering 5th-8th Grade for 2026-27

Get ready to train like a dance team star in this high-energy, 4-day intensive designed for girls entering 5th–8th grade! Dancers will build strong fundamentals in Pom, Jazz, and Acro, with a focus on technique, performance, and confidence, all in a fun, supportive environment.

LoMastro Apprentice Teacher (LAT) Leadership Program
Open to dancers Ages 11-19 as of Sep 1, 2026
The LoMastro Apprentice Teacher (LAT) Leadership Program offers our students the chance to develop additional dance and life skills while assisting our faculty in teaching our younger students. Students enrolling in the program will assist their designated full-time faculty member in an assigned class/camp. The apprentice teacher will be given a certain amount of responsibility and will become a fundamental part of the class/camp for both the students and teachers. Participants will gain experience in teaching, mentoring, and collaboration, preparing them for future roles as leaders both in and out of the studio.
Program Levels
Junior LAT:

Eligibility: Ages 11-15 (Entering 6th-9th grade). Currently enrolled in at least 1 class per week at LoMastro.

Commitment: Minimum of 2 weeks of summer camp participation (need not be consecutive).
-
$90 Enrollment Fee: Includes 2 LAT shirts (serving as the LAT uniform).
-
Focus: Learn the fundamentals of leadership and teaching by assisting LoMastro faculty in younger students' classes or camps.
Senior LAT:
-
Eligibility: Ages 15-19 (Entering 10th grade-college freshman). . Must submit application and be hired.

Commitment: Minimum of 2 weeks of summer camp and/or participation in the Next Gen Choreo Project (need not be consecutive).

Compensation: paid position.

Focus: Advanced leadership and creative development. Senior LATs may:

Assist faculty in teaching students.

Participate in the Next Gen Choreo Project, where they choreograph dances for middle schoolers to perform in the Summer Showcase (July 25).

Next Gen Choreo Project Details (Senior LAT Only)
The Next Gen Choreo Project is an exclusive opportunity for Senior LAT participants to explore their creativity as choreographers.

Role: Set an original 2-3 minute dance on 6th-9th grade dancers, working collaboratively to prepare for the Summer Showcase (July 25). Gain mentorship and feedback from LoMastro faculty throughout the process.

Special Opportunity for 5th Graders

Student Choreography Workshop
Entering 5th-8th Grade for 2026-27
June 17-July 22
Tuesdays
4:00-5:15 PM
Students explore the process of choreographing by working with faculty and classmates to create a solo work or self selected duet/trio. Dancers will learn different components and techniques that go into creating a piece. Class time will be spent reviewing, revising, and discussing concepts as they complete their solos/duet/trios for the culminating Choreographers Showcase where they have a chance to perform their new piece.
The Summer Dance Showcase will be on Saturday, July 25 on stage at John & Nancy Hughes Theatre at Gorton.
Those who want to choreograph a duet/trio should self select their duet/trio partner(s) and enroll together.
Dancers should have their music selected prior to the first day. Dancers are encouraged to reserve studio space to practice. Practice is key!

Next Gen Choreography Project
Entering 6th-9th Grade for 2026-27
Take your dancing to the next level in the Next Gen Choreography Project as part of a unique and collaborative experience. You will work closely with talented high school choreographers, learning their original choreography while contributing your own creativity to the process. This program offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to grow as a dancer, connect with peers and mentors, and perform in the Summer Showcase on July 25. Together, you’ll help bring an exciting new dance piece to life in a fun and supportive environment!

Summer is a great time to focus on improving dance technique, and have FUN doing what you love, Dancing! It is our goal to help dancers reach their fullest potential in a challenging and energizing environment! Teachers will be both guest artists and current faculty. All dancers will participate in a professional photo shoot on July 24 and receive 2-3 digital downloads. The program will culminate with a performance for family and friends on Saturday, July 25 between 10AM - 4PM at John & Nancy Hughes Theatre at Gorton.

Enrollment is required for 2026-27 Dance Company members who wish to do a solo, duet, or trio.

Enrollment in all 3 weeks is required for 2026-27 Jazz Division Company members who wish to be in Production. Production choreography will be taught from 1:00-4:00 PM on July 10, 17, 24.
