The LCP weekly technique classes are exclusive to those in the Conservatory Program and focus on technique, artistry, improvisation and composition.

Option 1: Classes + Solo/Duet/Trio
This option is for dancers wishing to perform or compete a solo, duet, or trio.
Required Class:

LCP Solo/Duet/Trio Run-Through (Mondays, 7:45–8:30 PM): Dancers begin with an artistic development exercise, followed by supervised run-throughs of their solo, duet, or trio pieces. This class also includes the Student Choreography Project, which will be taught on designated dates and rehearsed during LCP Run-Through from April–May. The piece will be performed in the recital.
Enrollment Requirements by Style:

Ballet Variation: Minimum: 2 ballet classes per week. Preferred: 3 ballet classes per week. Dance Strong is also highly recommended

Jazz Solo/Duet/Trio: Required: Enroll in LCP Jazz

Contemporary Solo/Duet/Trio: Enroll in LCP Contemporary

Musical Theatre or Tap Solo/Duet/Trio: Required: Enroll in a class in the corresponding style
Option 2: Clases Only
This option is for students who only wish to take classes without performing a solo, duet, or trio.

There are no co-enrollment requirements for LCP classes in any genre.

Ballet Notes: LCP students not on pointe may choose to take one ballet class per week. Enrollment in LCP Ballet or Ballet 8 includes 30 minutes of pointe work. Students on pointe are required to take the full Ballet/Pointe class twice per week.Those who are not on Pointe will be dismissed for the last 30 minutes of class.
LCP dancers are invited to participate in optional workshops to make connections with professional artists and companies.
Tuition for classes is charged based on the number of classes per week and is the same rate as all other LoMastro dance classes. Class tuition is payable in 2 installments, the first upon registration and the 2nd on January 15. Solo/Duet/Trio fees are additional, learn more.
Dancers who want to perform group routines should audition for our Dance Company in addition to LCP.
Recital 2026
Recital participation is highly encouraged, but not required. Those who wish to opt out must notified the office prior to Nov 1 to avoid being charged for costume fees.

All LCP classes will perform in the Recital. Those who opt out of Recital will learn the choreography in a removable spot. Learning and rehearsing choreography is valuable whether or not the dancer performs on stage. A non-recital LCP Ballet class will continue to be held for those not in the recital.
