Our 6-week summer session classes are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from June 13 through July 26. Closed on July 4. Dancers at levels 3 to 8, can register for the full 6-week session or choose drop-in technique classes.

With guidance from our talented faculty, dancers will learn a dance routine, plus have the opportunity to create and star in their own routine. From selecting the music and designing costumes to choreographing, they'll play a key role in every aspect of the performance. Daily crafts, games and activities will round out the experience. All their hard work will culminate in a dazzling show on July 27 at John & Nancy Hughes Theatre at Gorton Center, where they'll shine like the stars they are!

Boot camps will focus on one genre each day. These camps are great for 10-13 yr olds who want to explore different dance styles or for intermediate-advanced level dancers to stay on top of their training during the summer months. This is an accelerated program for students entering levels 4-8 for 2024-25 who are also entering 5th-8th grade. Classes will be separated by level.

2024 Student Choreography Workshop
Open to dancers entering 5th-8th Grade

4:00-5:00 PM
Students explore the process of choreographing by working with faculty and classmates to create a solo work or self selected duet/trio. Dancers will learn different components and techniques that go into creating a piece. Class time will be spent reviewing, revising, and discussing concepts as they complete their solos/duet/trios for the culminating Choreographers Showcase where they have a chance to perform their new piece. The Summer Dance Showcase will be on Saturday, July 27 on stage at John & Nancy Hughes Theatre at Gorton. Those who want to choreograph a duet/trio should self select their duet/trio partner(s) and enroll together. Dancers should have their music selected prior to the first day. Dancers are encouraged to reserve studio space to practice. Practice is key!
Attire: Bring all dance shoes: ballet, jazz, and clean sneakers. Girls - Solid leotard and tights. Shorts or leggings may be worn for non-ballet classes. Boys- fitted white or black t-shirt and black shorts.

2024 Apprentice Teacher Leadership Program
Open to dancers age 11-15
The LoMastro Apprentice Teacher (LAT) Leadership Program offers our students the chance to develop additional dance and life skills while assisting our faculty in teaching our younger students. Students enrolling in the program will assist their designated full-time faculty member in an assigned class/camp. The apprentice teacher will be given a certain amount of responsibility and will become a fundamental part of the class/camp for both the students and teachers. This is a volunteer program during which dancers will learn invaluable leadership skills.

Interested dancers should enroll in the dates they are committed to being a LAT. There is a $80 fee which includes 2 LAT shirts which serve as the LAT uniform.
2024 Dance Intensive

Summer is a great time to focus on improving dance technique, and have FUN doing what you love, Dancing! It is our goal to help dancers reach their fullest potential in a challenging and energizing environment! Teachers will be both guest artists and current faculty. All dancers will participate in a professional photo shoot on July 26 and receive 2-3 digital downloads. The program will culminate with a performance for family and friends on Saturday, July 27 between 10AM - 4PM at John & Nancy Hughes Theatre at Gorton.

Advanced Intensive
For dancers who are recommended for Ballet 7-8, LCP and Jazz 7-8, LCP for the 2024-25 season.
Focus on Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Theater Dance, CJT, Acro, PBT, and Hip-Hop, plus rehearsal.

Tickets to the July 27 performance will be $15 each and on sale July 16.
Tuition:

Attire: Bring all dance shoes: ballet, jazz, tap, and clean sneakers. Girls - Any color leotard and tights. Shorts or leggings may be worn for non-ballet classes. Boys- fitted white or black t-shirt and black shorts.

Note: all dancers must wear a black leotard and black leggings on stage for the Summer Dance Showcase.
What to bring: Dancers must bring their own “nut free” lunch (no lunch on Fridays), a small bag with dance shoes, and a water bottle.
