We believe performance is an integral part of the learning process. In addition to in-studio performances, the following opportunities are provided to give talented and dedicated students an opportunity to perform in professionally produced productions as well as community outreach. - Annual Recital
- Parents and relatives of all LPAA students will enjoy watching their children dance & sing in our professional annual recital held in May/June. Our Recitals feature all Dance classes, Dance Company and Song & Dance Troupe. Participation is optional for all enrolled students ages 3-19. Recitals are separated by age and level. Parents must notify the academy in writing if their child who does not wish to participate in the Recital prior to November 1st. Parents will be responsible for costume fees, due November 1st. 2010 Recitals will be held at Stevenson High School. Directions to Stevenson High School.
- Making Spirits Bright Troupe
- Open to all LPAA students ages 7 & up, company and non-company dancers are welcome. Dancers will perform a holiday themed show in December at nursing/retirement homes and Navy Pier's "Winter Wonderfest". Click here for more information

- Dance Company
- The Dance Company is comprised of dancers ages 8-19, that excel in a variety of styles of dance. Dance Company is designed to give students an opportunity to enhance their training and gain performance experience, as well as share their talent and provide entertainment to the community. - Song & Dance Troupe
- This high energy, fast paced performance class will knock your socks off with fun! Students will learn proper breathing, posture, and vocal technique as well as choreography. Repertoire includes Broadway showtunes, pop songs, and traditional choral pieces. Students take part in one half-hour of vocal instruction and one half-hour of choreography per week in working to produce their original “mini showcase”. This ensemble will perform two showcases per school year. The first at the Movement of Change Benefit Concert in January and the second at the LPAA Recital in May/June. This is great training for students who wish to perform in musical theatre productions! Learn more

- Musical Theatre Performance Class
- In this performance class, students will act, sing and dance as they rehearse songs and scenes from the selected musical. From auditions, to blocking scenes, to learning acting techniques and song interpretation, students will go through the process of working on a musical script. All students will receive an on stage role with lines/blocking/songs/dances. Specific roles are determined after the first rehearsal (audition). Show Biz Stars is a suggested pre-requisite for this class. Learn more
